THE IMPACT OF EXCESSIVE GADGETUSE ON EYE HEALTH
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study explores the impact of excessive gadget use on eye health through a qualitative approach involving ten participants who use digital devices for more than six hours every day. Data was collected through interviews and observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings show that prolonged screen exposure causes symptoms such as eye strain, dry eyes, and blurred vision, which are often exacerbated by poor visual habits and lack of rest. This study concludes that raising awareness about digital hygiene, practicing healthy behaviors when using gadgets, and having regular eye examinations are essential for maintaining optimal visual health.
