CORRELATION BETWEEN PASSENGER DENSITY ON THE CISAUK KAI COMMUTER LINE AND THE QUALITY OF KRL PUBLIC SERVICES
Main Article Content
Abstract
Population density cannot be separated from the local government that promotes the region. Innovations are made specifically in transportation services, which are a primary need of the community. Cisauk has become an area that has experienced significant regional innovation, especially at Cisauk Station. Cisauk Station has been designated as a TOD (Transit Oriented Development) to other areas. Cisauk Station is already a modern station. As such, Cisauk Station experiences daily congestion among users of the KAI Commuter Line Cisauk. This congestion causes discomfort for many users, such as shortness of breath, being crushed, and being unable to move. KRL public services experience difficulties in managing train passengers during periods of congestion. Therefore, innovation is needed in KRL public services to deal with situations of congestion or overcrowding. This study uses library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this study is secondary data from journals, articles, and other sources. In addition, this study uses primary data from a questionnaire titled “Cisauk KRL users.” Through this study, the author and readers can learn about the congestion that occurs at Cisauk Station and the desires of Cisauk KRL users for innovations in KRL services to deal with overcrowding.
